Craig Bed Provides Welcome Treatment Option for Closed Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Huntington's Patients
|
The Pro-Care® Modular Rehab Bed (Craig-Bed) is being recognized as a viable treatment option for patients suffering from Huntington's Disease, Cerebral Palsy and traumatic Brain Injury. Since its introduction over 20 years ago the Pro-Care® modular rehab bed has seen use successfully in treatment centers and institutions from coast to coast and overseas.
The bed was developed in closed cooperation with The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) in Houston, Texas to satisfy their need for a functional, cost effective solution for the interim treatment of closed head injury patients. The requirements were for a padded enclosure system which would safely contain the patient without restraints, and that offered rapid accessibility to the patient plus easy portability. The result was the Pro-Care® Modular Rehab Bed.
In the years following its introduction, the Pro-Care® Modular Rehab bed has since found applicability to those afflicted with other choreal neurological disorders, such as Huntington's Disease and most recently, Cerebral Palsy.
